LOCAL ANAESTHETIC

A local anaesthetic is frequently used by Podiatrist's. It commonly is used to prevent pain when correcting an ingrown toenail for example. The Podiatrist may also use a local anaesthetic for other surgical procedures or as a diagnostic test in certain types of nerve conditions. It may also be employed as a form of pain relief.
